Zaina Erhaim is a Syrian journalist fighting for 30 years for press freedom in her homeland, one of the most dangerous country in the world for its armed conflict. Commissioned by Bocanord for the FemGraff festival, the Catalan stencil artist BTOY painted last week the wall of the Civic Centre Casa Groga in tribute to her work and activism. Erhaim works and still lives in Alep, where she has trained nearly 100 citizen journalists from inside Syria, about one third of whom are women.

Zaina Erhaim es una periodista siria de 30 años que está luchando por la libertad de prensa en su país natal, uno de los más peligrosos del mundo por su conflicto armado. Comisionado por Bocanord para el FemGraff festival, la artista catalana BTOY pinto la semana pasada la pared del Centre Cívic Casa Groga en homenaje a su labor informadora y activista. Erhaim trabaja y vive en Aleppo, en donde ha capacitado a cerca de 100 periodistas ciudadanos desde el interior de Siria, aproximadamente un tercio de los cuales son mujeres.
